Dear Guest

On behalf of myself and Rozelda we would like to welcome you to Caesars Bush Palace and Waterberg Predator Park.

At Caesars we have various activities which you and your family are welcome to enjoy.

The park began to take shape when Rozelda and myself decided it was time to combine our dreams, vision and passion for wildlife and create a haven for predators and other wildlife in need of care. By Haven we mean that the animals we have, have found a forever home. We try to mimic nature as close as possible. We are not a breading facility and do not encourage cub petting. If one of our females do fall pregnant, the cubs will stay with their mom, and later be introduced to dad.

We have successfully introduced all our cubs with their dad's. Our first ever lion cubs born on the farm was Simba and Shavu's 3 cubs. This is some special story of Maximus. Whilst all the cubs were healthy, we noticed the one last born and smallest, seemed to be not much interested in mom. We monitored him over 10 days. After 10 days i made the difficult decision to pull him from mom, brother and sister.

Even with him been now raised by us, we still made sure he interacted with brother and sister on a daily basis, this ensuring he gets the enrichment he deserves. After 9 weeks of caring for little Maximum, i placed him back with mom. He was now strong enough to look after himself. Immediately mom Shavu welcomed him back to the family.

After reintroducing him to mom, we were still faced with the task of having to feed Max every day, as he was not drinking from mom at all. Mom entrusted us to care for Max. Allowing us to take him out 3 times a day to feed, then placing him back again.

At 12 weeks old, we introduced mom and cubs back with dad Simba. At first we were afraid of loosing one of the cubs, but mom made very sure dad was well informed on how to look after the cubbies. Interesting to watch as mom taught dad over a period of two week, how to handle the babies with care.

Today, 3 years later, mom Shavu, dad Simba, sister Xena, brother Brutus and finally brother Maximus are all still together. Mom and sister were injected with a contraceptive to prevent further breeding and to ensure the prides togetherness.

Our next introduction is just as special. Kito and Autumn's first ever cubs. Kito and Autumn has been together since 2011 when both arrived at our farm. Autumn gave birth to her cubs in December 2013. Two beautiful babies. At first we were not too sure how to mimic nature, as in nature the dad never gets to meet his cubs, but then i had to remember that we are not nature and these animals were raised together and we will do more harm splitting them.

On the 19th of April 2014, I opened up the cubs with dad Kito, and WOW! to my surprise he welcomed them with open PAWS... we uploaded a video on our Facebook site "Caesar's Bush Palace" where you can view the interaction.

Our main aim is to provide a safe place for our animals, to ensure they are looked after in the best possible way, and to inform the public of the importance of wildlife. Wildlife is our passion not our Business, its our duty to care for these animals not our right to misuse them. Its our mission to get the message across!

The park has a diversity of species including, Lions, Tigers, Jaguars, Caracal, Wolves and  South Africas pride, the sacred White Lion and many more which can be seen during your guided tour. The enclosures have been built with the animals welfare in mind, including areas for enrichment.

Various areas have set aside for you and your familys enjoyment including a Kiddies Play park strategically situated for you're peace of mind.

Our visitors are able to enjoy game viewing either by vehicle or on one of our trained trail horses. On the horse trails you will be able to enjoy and view the bushveld from a different perspective, riding amongst grazing zebra, leaping impala, whilst being accompanied by the bushveld bird orchestra.

Private lapas are also available where you will be able to put your feet up, let your hair down and soak up the tranquility of the South African bushveld, whatever the season, whilst being served your favorite meal and beverage.

Two Predator Lapas have been erected adjacent to the Lion and Tiger camps where one will be able to enjoy private time with these majestic animals and even strike up a conversation whilst enjoying your morning breakfast buffet.

The park is open daily from 09:00 to 16:00. Tours are conducted at regular intervals.

Group bookings must please be confirmed prior to arrival in order to ensure that staff are available.

Once again, welcome.
